Double Exposure Readers, Send Us Your Photos!

The crisp Autumn air, fall colors, kids and adults dressed up for Halloween—there are many ways to portray the fall season. On November 1st, we will run a story called "Double Exposure Challenge: Photographing Fall," and we're looking for readers' photos to illustrate it. Send us your best images—we've got some terrific prizes for the winners. Also, if you are one of the top 3 winners, be prepared to tell us in a sentence or two how you created your winning photograph.

Great Prizes
We will select 3 top prize winners, whose images will illustrate the story. 10 to 20 additional images by the runners-up will appear in an accompanying gallery. We will award Eye Candy from Alien Skin to the 1st Place Winner, Painter Essentials 4 from Corel to the 2nd Place Winner, and a downloadable version of Chameleon 6.0 from AKVIS to the 3rd Place Winner. In addition, all winners will receive a copy of Baby Face by Barbara Smith. If your image is chosen as one of the top three, it will appear in the "Photographing Fall" feature on Nov. 1, 2008, and you will win the corresponding prize listed above. For more information on these products, please read the prize reviews accessible via links below on this page.

We require mailing addresses at the time you enter your images so that the manufacturers can ship prizes to the winners, as well as email addresses for downloadable software prizes. Once notified via email, winners who have not previously provided their addresses will have until the 15th of that month to confirm their mailing address. If winners contact us after the 15th—even if the delay is caused by e-mail server issues—their prize will be forfeited. We will not distribute your information to outside mailing lists. All image rights remain with the photographer.

Our Requirements
This competition is open to everyone. As with our previous monthly Double Exposure Challenges, you can submit up to five of your best entries. they must be jpegs, approximately 600 pixels on the long side of the image, and 72 to 100 dpi. We would rather work with images that are a little too large, rather than too small. Submit your entries by CLICKING HERE.

The deadline for "Photographing Fall" entries is Friday, October 24, 2008. Best of luck! We look forward to seeing your outstanding images.
