The Great Northern Hotel & Conference Centre is the home of a new, permanent art gallery hosting the photography of Brian Tremblay. The gallery was unveiled at a reception in the Bistro Lounge of the hotel on Thursday, September 18, 2008.

The new art gallery is currently exhibiting photographs of Sault Ste. Marie on the walls of the Bistro Lounge and lobby areas of the Great Northern Hotel & Conference Centre. The photographs displayed can be purchased from Brian Tremblay during the event or anytime thereafter. The hotel's General Manager, Vesna Pejic, says "The hotel is proud to support a local artist that is able to capture the breathtaking beauty of Sault Ste. Marie and its surrounding areas."

Brian Tremblay's photographs have been featured in a variety of publications including The National Post, Hotelier Magazine, the Medical Post and MacLean's. Over the years, his work has been acknowledged with many awards in the community, including the Algoma Fall Festival of the Arts and the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce's Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
