The December 2007 issue of Trendsetter Magazine (Turkey) has featured a six-page interview with Ellen Jantzen, plus eight images of her photo-related art. Three of her images, Outré, Anomalous and Enigma appear full-page.

The interview consists of several pointed questions like the following:

Trendsetter: Could you explain to us the creative process in detail?

Ellen Jantzen
: I don’t set out to make a specific image; rather, I choose physical elements and locations that I feel have a curious affinity for one another. I then purposefully place these elements together in ephemeral assemblages. My goal is to cultivate unexpected visual references with the potential to surprise. I photograph these set ups, then, using my computer and various software programs, I layer, alter and manipulate the raw photos as I search for the new images within.
